FACULTY

To teach for GROVE, one must have a Masters degree (Doctorate preferred). All of our faculty have had their resumes or CVs certified by MATCH, or the Microcollege Assessment Team for Courses in the Humanities. All of the faculty members have had prior college-level teaching experience or have taught college-equivalency classes. No faculty member can continue to teach for GROVE if he or she receives two or more unqualified Articulation of Concern Reports from students.

All of GROVE's faculty are given the liberty to design their courses more or less as they want. Certain main content goals must be met by each class, and certain communication limitations apply, but beyond that, the choices of texts, assignments, projects, and assessment are completely left to the faculty member. Only one grade is recorded at the end of every class, and that is the final grade the faculty member submits to the Executive Director. The faculty member may determine this grade any way he or she wants to, as long as it is a fair assessment of student work.

In an effort to stymie online harvesting of personnel information, no faculty bios are posted anywhere on this site. However, every student who signs up for a class will receive his or her faculty member's resume or CV via email attachment.
