microcollege assessment team

for curricula of the humanities

Welcome to MATCH, the Microcollege Assessment Team for Curricula of the Humanities. MATCH exists to examine microcollege class syllabi in order to determine whether the proposed material is equivalent to a traditionally structured, land-based college class.

A microcollege can be any college that operates with no more than 100 students, with no more than the absolute necessary administration personnel, and with no land property of its own. Most microcolleges will be online and will focus on humanities or Great-Idea courses, as this type of material is best suited to fit these defining pedagogical strictures. And all microcolleges forego the traditional college-life experience outside of the strictly academic. The goal is twofold: to give the student a quality academic experience while drastically reducing its financial cost.

MATCH has partnered with GROVE, an Open Latch entity, in order to showcase a model of a microcollege. Please click here to go to GROVE's home page. Click on the following links below to read about the process, to buy an assessment, or to get contact info.
