Sparkplug is designed to help students research communication issues in today's culture.

The book provides bibliographies on various communication topics, up-to-date lists of articles

mechanics. While students learn parts-of-speech along the way, the main goal is

The student is asked to copy these doubled words when he or she encounters them in the process of reading. Scratch-off keys are provided so that student peers can grade other students' work.
