LATCH JOURNAL

LATCH: A Journal for the Study of the Literary Artifact in Theory, Culture, or History is an academic annual journal publishing scholarly writing that examines how texts both shape and are shaped by the material and ideological currents of their own time. Since texts cannot stand above the constraints and influences of their socio-historical settings, a research emphasis on how and where the nonliterary invades, supports, or illuminates the literary can only enrich the ongoing study of the intertextuality of literature. The LATCH Journal is best accessed online, where pdfs can be downloaded and read free of charge. In order to ensure the archival durability of soft media, one hundred bound copies of each volume will be distributed gratis to contributors, reviewers, and academic libraries across the country. This journal is carried full-text with EBSCO's Humanities International Complete and is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography. The journal itself is indexed in the MLA Journal Directory.
